Introduction to Paediatric Equipment Workshop
Facilitated by one of our Occupational Therapists, this workshop will provide an overview of paediatric equipment, specifically mobility aids and seating systems.
We will be looking at the goals of seating, basic seating principles and discussing the clinical considerations for prescribing the equipment. You will get the opportunity to get a hands-on experience with a range of equipment and evaluation case studies.
- Identify different types of paediatric mobility aids and seating systems
- Feature matching and clinical considerations for prescribing paediatric equipment
- Discuss relevance of each piece of equipment through interactions / hands-on experience
- Identify through discussion specific equipment relating to case studies.
Occupational Therapy Students, new graduate Occupational Therapists or those new to paediatric practice, Occupational Therapists interested in paediatrics.
*Social distancing protocols in line with current government recommendations will be adhered to. If restrictions change outside the control of the participant and the session is cancelled due to COVID, participant will be able to opt for a future session.
