Introduction to Complex Home Modifications
This short course provides an introduction to complex home modifications and the planning of functional spaces for your clients. We will review the current requirements of the Australian Standards and put these standards into practice when designing spaces. You will also become familiar with some of the language that is used in this area, so that you can be more confident in your interactions with the trades. This workshop will focus on bathroom modifications as this is the most common modification requested of Occupational Therapists.
You will need to be able to conceptually read plans and be familiar with AS1428.1. If you have a copy of the standard, please bring it along to the workshop.
- Those familiar with home visiting and branching out into more complex modifications.
- Therapists wanting to consolidate their knowledge in the area.
