In recognition of five years of service, Andrea Morris was presented with a certificate and small token of thanks by CEO Steve Glew.

Joining the Independent Living Centre (ILC) in 2016 as part of the Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre (CRCC), Andrea has held several management positions, before being appointed the role of General Manager for Indigo’s partner organisation Independent Living Assessment (ILA) in 2019.

“It has been an interesting and rewarding five years, with opportunities for growth and professional development. I have been blessed to work alongside talented, highly skilled, and passionate professionals. I am looking forward to growing ILA’s profile and services in the community and community services sector.”

ILA provides the WA community with information, advice, and expertise so people can live life their way through their services: AT Chat, grant funding, Regional Assessment Services and Sector Support and Development. Their services support people with disability, older people, carers, health professionals and the aged care sector.

Developed by the Sector Support and Development Team, ILA will soon be launching KeepAble, a digital hub that will provide support and information to service providers in the aged, disability and community sectors, to help them realise and embed wellness and reablement practices and policy within their organisations.

KeepAble is currently doing user testing of the KeepAble staging site, and a KeepAble working group has been created to support the testing and launch.

AT Chat will be presenting at the WA and Melbourne ATSA Expos on the AT Peer Mentoring pilot program and Co-design methodologies.

ILA’s Grants funding still have EFL (Equipment for Living) grants of up to $6000 available to eligible individuals until June of this year.
