Your role/title: Training Lead for Indigo.
What does your role involve? My role focuses on developing and managing Indigo’s training calendar. I am responsible for coordinating training that our Indigo allied health professionals deliver to external groups. I also assist our presenters with all logistics required to run a workshop, including registration, set up and pack down, catering etc.
How long have you worked at Indigo? 2.5 years
What do you like most about your role or working at Indigo? The opportunity to work across different teams and the diversity of my day-to-day tasks.
What has been the most interesting project you have contributed to in your time at Indigo? That would be a project that I am currently working on which is the establishment of an online learning platform for some of Indigo’s training content to be available on-demand from 2022. Watch this space!
Describe a memorable moment of your time at Indigo: The most memorable time was when I first started working at Indigo with very little knowledge on what assistive technology is and then having my eyes opened to the world of equipment, devices and AAC and the incredible positive impact that these tools can have on a person’s daily life. I also really enjoyed coming to work in my pyjamas for National Pyjama Day 😉!
Of the four Indigo values, which one do you express the most strongly during your workday and why? (Integrity, passion, creativity, together) Together: My work heavily relies on the team-effort that is organising and delivering our training at Indigo. I work closely with a team of therapists and rely on their expert knowledge, and they rely on me to make everything run smoothly so they can focus on delivering the content.
