Indigo (formally Independent Living Centre WA) provides tailored allied health, assistive technology and home modification solutions to assist people to live independently in their own home.

Recently awarded the national GEAT (Goods, Equipment and Assistive Technology) contract under the Commonwealth Home Support Program we are now seeking professional and driven Web Application Developer to join the ICT team.


The Web Application Developer will provide strategic and technical leadership to develop, maintain and grow a portfolio of web applications / websites, enhancing organisations customer-focused approach, high-quality, cost effective and sustainable.  Working closely with the business operations and ICT team is key to the success of this role.  As a key developer in the digital area, you are expected to lead, collaborate, adapt, and innovate as a core aspect of how you perform your role.

This role will have web application development accountability over several key areas including:

  • Lead development and execution of a detailed development project plan using agile methodology.
  • Support the execution of a Digital Transformation strategy and implementation plan that includes multiple digital projects, solutions, and dependencies across the organisation.
  • Developing and supporting various web development projects that are customer-centric.
  • Identify potential development technologies to establish and scale digital projects.
  • Develop and implement projects using Lean and Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Business operations to ensure digital solutions are designed with direct customer insights and recommended UAT/UX methodologies.
  • Ensure project alignment and development deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure implementation and alignment with ICT strategic direction.
  • Manage communication of progress and utilise a problem-solving, and mitigation approach to project risks and roadblocks


We are looking for a vibrant professional with a passion for technology and an in-depth ability to develop and support web development of customer-centric projects. You should be organised, approachable and driven to deliver great outcomes.

We seek someone with: 

  • Demonstrated experience with web application development preferably agile (min 5 yrs).
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with demonstrated ability to adapt.
  • Knowledge and skills developing and implementing API’s.
  • Experience with HTML5 + mobile app frameworks - e.g., HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Database knowledge and experience – Microsoft SQ Server, Azure SQL, MySQL, Mongo.
  • Hands on experience with project management software like Jira, or DevOps (desirable).
  • Natural problem solver and big thinker.
  • Collaborate with Business operations to ensure digital solutions are designed with direct customer insights and recommended UAT/UX methodologies.
  • Experience with a CMS framework (Word Press, Sitefinity etc).
  • A keen eye for design – you’ll be familiar with how designs can and should come to life visually on web and optimised for mobile.
  • Experience with testing system configurations and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Lead, participate and/or engage in all activities that relate to group and broader organisational strategic initiatives and key issues.
